The MigratieMuseum an international delegation

On 13 June the MigratieMuseumMigration was thrilled to welcome an international delegation on the occasion of the Brussels Urban Summit (BUS) 2023. The BUS is an initiaitive that brings together three international city conferences: the 14th Metropolis World Congress, the Eurocities Annual Conference and the sixth OECD Champion Mayors Summit for Inclusive Growth Initiative. 300 cities worldwide are represented there, by more than than 1000 politicians, experts and representatives of civil society to exchange ideas and set the priorities for sustainable, future-proof cities.
The group attended a presentation by Prof. em. Johan Leman titled “Molenbeek Migrations Transformations”, after which they enjoyed a guided tour of the museum, discovering Brussels superdiversity and its many migration stories that have helped shape the city.
As the weather was particularly hot, refreshments were served to enjoy a moment of coolness…
