Foyer’s Summer Tips
6 July 2023
Whether days are sunny or rainy, the summer months remain special: an ideal period to slow down
and break out of the daily routine. Foyer helps you on your way with some tips to make your summer
even nicer!
- Look: you don’t have to travel to the other side of the world to discover new things. Take a
fresh look at your own neighbourhood or city. Brussels museums, for example, have an offer
to suit everyone’s interests. Besides the established ones, the smaller museums are definitely
worth a visit. The Migration MuseumMigration, for instance, has a special summer
programme every weekend. Discover it here.
- Listen: this summer, really take the time to talk to people around you, or have a chat with
someone you don’t know yet. We bet it will lead to surprising encounters.
- Smell and taste: summer is the perfect time to cook with fresh and seasonal produce. Buy
local, visit the many Brussels markets and enjoy the local gastronomy. Brussels also has
plenty of social restaurants, where eating and meeting each other go hand in hand. In
Molenbeek, for example, you can eat at Les Uns et les Autres, Snijboontje and Belmundo.
- Move: get up from your chair or sofa and go for a walk! At Foyer, we will be wrapping up the
summer on 9 September with the annual Molenbeek discovery walk, which this year will
literally open doors to highlight the municipality’s residents and their stories.
