It is certainly a wonderful symbolic gesture for our Red Devils, followed by other teams, to kneel before the start of a game of football to condemn racism and promote positive diversity.
But it would be an even braver and equally meaningful gesture if, at the World Cup in Qatar, they made a similarly powerful symbolic gesture to draw attention to the fact that the main stadium in which they play and much other infrastructure was built by slaves.
2. 600 people lost their lives there. One can kneel against racism, why not? But after standing up, for example, one can hold his hands to show them with a rope, as slaves.
I have no doubt that some footballers are not happy with the situation over there and disapprove of it.Back
