Anyone who knows a bit of history… you don’t even have to have an elephant’s memory, remembers that when criminal, violent drug dealers take action in Molenbeek (or the entire canal zone)… you have to be on alert not just locally, not even only regionally, but actually surely also federally. Who doesn’t remember Abaaoud, the Bakhraouis and some others?

You don’t let something like that happen again. You are dealing with a municipality and with an entire area where young people do everything they can to achieve new life, new initiatives, often in very difficult circumstances… and then, as authorities, you will not start referring one to another on who is responsuble for such a problem as shootings, will you?

Do authorities want to give dealing, criminality and integrism that can lead to jihadism another chance? Is 2015-2016 something that is already far too long behind us?

The people, the ordinary citizens, have the right to walk down through all those little streets, without getting a wrongly shot bullet drilled into their bodies.

This is the joint responsibility of all the many institutional leaders whothese citizens see deciding over their ordinary lives, so that people do not get the impression that all these authorities are only concerned with real estate.
