FRA report maps low quality of life of Roma and Travellers

28 September 2020

A recently published report by the Fundamental Rights Agency states that the living conditions of Roma and Travellers in six European countries surveyed, including Belgium, leave much to be desired. Roma and Travellers are systematically disadvantaged in terms of both housing and access to education, the labour market and healthcare. A well-known sore point is the great lack of caravan sites. Koen Geurts of the Roma and Travellers Service explains this in an article in De Standaard (article in Dutch).
