 Youth exchange in Jordan

A group of 16 young people took part in an international exchange in Jordan focused on “identity and social inclusion”, organised by Foyer’s Jongerenwerking (youth service). Through interactive workshops and non-formal learning methods, participants engaged in dialogue, explored different perspectives and played an active role throughout the project.

In its evaluation of the final report, the European Commission highlighted that “the project was implemented successfully and achieved its main objectives”. These included promoting intercultural dialogue, inclusion and the active participation of young people from diverse backgrounds.

Young people at the heart of the project

The Commission particularly praised the strong engagement of participants, the meaningful learning experiences and the commitment to involving young people with fewer opportunities. The active role some participants took in facilitating workshops, as well as Foyer’s efforts to share and promote the project’s results, were also highlighted as key strengths.

This recognition reinforces the importance of involving young people actively in international projects, giving them opportunities to take initiative, share experiences and learn from one another.

Building a foundation for future cooperation

According to the European Commission, the project delivered valuable outcomes for participants and laid a solid foundation for continued cooperation and future initiatives.

The evaluation also identified areas for improvement in future projects, including more detailed documentation of inclusion support measures, the use of Youthpass, the dissemination of results by all partner organisations and the long-term integration of project learning into future youth work activities.

Foyer welcomes this positive feedback and the recognition of the work carried out by its Jongerenwerking team with young people, whose active participation was central to the project.
