On Wednesday 4 March, a delegation of judges from the Dutch-speaking court of first instance in Brussels will visit the Migration Museum and Foyer.
After a guided tour of the museum, an exchange with our youngsters is planned. During this exchange, they will discuss trust in the justice system, cognitive biases and prejudice, and the lack of diversity within the judiciary. The aim is not so much to explain how the justice system works, but rather to listen to the perceptions of magistrates among local residents in Molenbeek. Afterwards, the judges and young people will share Iftar, to conclude the visit in a convivial manner.
At Foyer, we are always delighted to support exchanges such as this. In this way, we can work together to build a better understanding and stronger trust in each other!
