3 March 2025
The opening for the photo exhibition ‘Children in War Zones’ will take place on Saturday 15 March at 12h00 at the MigratieMuseumMigration. This expo offers a poignant perspective on the daily lives of children in war zones, such as Gaza, Syria and Ukraine. Through the lens of photographers from different backgrounds, the public is invited to see war through the eyes of children. The artists featured include:
Hadja Lahbib, European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, will be present at this unique event. Her recent visits to Syria and Ukraine demonstrate a deep commitment to the conflict zones. The opening will also pay tribute to Palestinian photographer Areej Shaheen, who tragically died with her mother on January 3 2025 during an Israeli airstrike on her home near the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza.
The exhibition is open to the public from 15 March to 30 April at the Migration MuseumMigration.
