Opening: Brussels, la Congolaise

Wow, an enormous thank you, 300 times thank you for the wonderful opening night yesterday of the exhibition “Brussels, la Congolaise.” The entire museum team is deeply grateful for your enthusiasm and unwavering support.

This exhibition was created to celebrate, showcase, pay tribute to, and share stories and life journeys that are often little known to the wider public. Of course, it is not exhaustive: in the future the museum hopes to delve even deeper into this subject and include more voices and stories.

A heartfelt thank you to Café Rumba for the scenography, to all the witnesses who shared their family histories, as well as to Bakushinta, the AfricaMuseum, and everyone supporting this exhibition from near or far.

We also warmly thank Equal.Brussels with the backing of Minister Ms. Ben Hamou, and the Kanal museum for supporting the performance by Brussels artist Badi as part of Molenfest, organised by Molenbeek for Brussels 2030.
