Molengems is a sparkling mix that puts the gems of Molenbeek in the spotlight. In this project, vzw Foyer and MigratieMuseumMigration present five video podcasts of five people who are working wonders in the municipality of the colourful windmills. #Molengems
Molengems #1: Discover the story of Annabelle, coordinator of Cinemaximilaan, former journalist and television presenter. Annabelle discusses her personal connection to Molenbeek and her work at Cinemaximiliaan.
Molengems #2: Meet Didier, Director-General of Territoriality at ZPZ BruWest. He talks about his passion for his job and his vision for Molenbeek, a municipality he finds very warm and cosmopolitan.
Molengems #3: Julie is French and has been living in Molenbeek for some time. She works at Le Phare du Kanaal as a project and event coordinator. She talks about Le Phare and the dynamics in the municipality.
Molengems #4: Sven works at the municipal museum MoMuse 1080. He has been working there since 2004. He has an incredible knowledge of municipal history and talks about the evolution of the municipality in socio-demographic terms.
Molengems #5: The last video in the series. Bachir, coordinator of Foyer des Jeunes, knows Molenbeek like the back of his hand. He grew up there and has been working there for 40 years. He talks about how Molenbeek has changed and his journey to becoming an animator. Enjoy listening! #Molengems
