Jan-van-Ruusbroeck College is a secondary school in Laken. Every year, the school organises project and culture days. On these days, classes drop out and pupils take part in activities that focus on commitment, solidarity and responsibility. As part of this, the first grade does the annual Lenten walk. After their Easter exams, pupils will walk 10 km. The students look for sponsors beforehand, the school distributes the proceeds between a number of organisations afterwards.
Foyer is very grateful to be one of the organisations receiving a donation from the money raised! It is very nice to see how this way the pupils are imparting several important values to be able to participate fully in our society later on.
