Conference Labdays

Last night, a conference took place at the MigratieMuseumMigration as part of Labdays. Labdays is an initiative of l’architecture qui dégenre x Maak & Transmettre x CENTRALE for contemporary art.
During Labdays, several conferences, workshops and guided tours take place around the theme of inclusive design, its history and its future potential for an inclusive museum. The ultimate goal is an investigation of the spatial and mediation systems – accessibility, furniture, labels, signage, etc. to propose concrete solutions for a more inclusive museum.
The MigratieMuseumMigration participated in the week’s first conference, ‘Le musée pour tous-tes: enjeux d’accessibilité et barrières symboliques’. The speakers talked about these difficulties from the perspective of social and economic inequality.
