With the exhibition “Ecuatorianismos en Bélgica”, the artists want to tell us how their vision merges with their own migration story. All three live in Brussels and, although they use different forms and techniques (painting, engraving and performance), there is unity through the inspiration of “Ecuatorianismos”.
Three Ecuadorian artistic eyes: Alejandra Bedón, Marco Campaña Salgado and Diana Valarezo. Alejandra Bedón presents a series of engravings with a new perspective on botanical art. We feel the fascination for the germ of life in her rhythmic and harmonious compositions. Marco Campaña Salgado brings us vivid colours, his paintings reflecting a magical fusion between the ancient and the contemporary and holding up a mirror to us. And Diana Valarezo on this occasion presents the performance “Rasgar las vestiduras”, in which she uses embroidery to tell the universal story of migration.
