Sliding Doors


The “Sliding Doors” project aims to analyse the integration processes of migrants from a broad socio-historical perspective. The goal is to gain insight into these issues through a combination of academic research and civil society actions, involving the inhabitants of 9 European countries. At the end of the project, a number of recommendations will be proposed to the different European institutions.

Foyer is contributing to this project with a series of training sessions on migration to and within Europe, three exhibitions in collaboration with the MigratieMuseumMigration, and interviews with citizens on the theme of identity.

“Sliding Doors” is funded by the Europe for Citizens programme and runs from 1 March 2021 to 31 August 2022. The Institut des Sciences et Techniques de l’Antiquité (ISTA) of the University of Franche-Comté is the project leader. The other partners are:
